PUBLIC PEERING Public peering is the central service offered by the NAP. Participant operators connect their frontier routers to the NAP s technological platform, which works as star-centre of the interexchange point and assures reciprocal visibility to all participants on a single public VLAN. Public peering agreements are implemented for free Internet traffic interexchange among NAP participants owning at least one AS and having IPv4 address space. They are based on the BGP4 protocol and do not provide transit service. |
